Unslop Launch Build

20+ years shipping production software

Fix what's
broken. Build
what's
next.

Pixlode designs, builds, and unslops software from 0 to 1 and beyond. Pixlode is led by an engineer who was shipping production software long before AI made prototypes easy. Today it pairs 20+ years of engineering experience with a proprietary AI-assisted development workflow, moving faster without skipping the parts that make software reliable.

02 · Where Pixlode fits Prototype → Production

The prototype is the easy part.

← Prototype The gap Pixlode fills The gap Production →

Software gets expensive when code becomes fragile, launches stall, or the roadmap stops moving. Pixlode fills the gap between prototype and reliable production software.

Pixlode stabilizes what exists, ships what's missing, and keeps the product moving so you can focus on running the business.

Make questionable software trustworthy.

Rushed, inherited, or AI-generated code that mostly works. Pixlode finds what's fragile, fixes what's broken, and leaves you with software you can rely on.

Active alpha Product build · Chrome extension + web app

Apply To It

The Apply To It homepage asking whether you should even apply, with an example job match score of 86 beside the headline and the three score bands below it.
Problem

Job searching was scattered across boards, tabs, notes, resumes, and generic AI comparisons.

Built

A browser extension and web app that capture jobs passively and evaluate them against your resume.

Outcome

One connected workflow, taken from idea to a deployed product with auth, onboarding, and usage controls.

02
Ongoing client work Client work · Operational software

Workflow software

The data portal building an export job: a preview of invoice rows on the left, and a schedule panel on the right setting the job to run daily at 6:00 AM and write Parquet files to an S3 archive.
Problem

Data exports ran on scripts shared by the team. As the business grew, the workflow needed to grow with it.

Built

A Power BI connector built for any customer, then a data portal that builds, schedules and runs export jobs for several clients from one dashboard.

Outcome

One process, one version: anyone on the team installs the portal, runs the jobs they need, and the rest run on schedule.

Kindness By Mail

The Kindness By Mail homepage, with three children holding letters beside a mailbox and the four steps of how the service works below.
Problem

A supervised pen-pal service for children, where staff open, scan, review and track every letter before it goes on: a pipeline no off-the-shelf storefront could model.

Built

Customer site, parent accounts, and internal ops: subscription billing, matching, letter scanning and review, QR code tracking of every letter, staff admin.

Outcome

Software shaped around how the service actually runs, not around a plugin’s limits.

05 · How work moves

No black box.

A disciplined development lifecycle, accelerated by AI.

AI speeds up the mechanical parts. It doesn’t replace engineering discipline: every change is planned, tested, reviewed, and verified before it ships, and you can see where it is the whole time.

09 · What clients say

Over the past year, working with Pixlode has been a great experience. We initially brought Josh on to build a Power BI connector that we could use across our Clumsy Giant clients.

What came next really blew us away. As our business grew, we needed a better way to manage client data. Josh built an internal portal that allows us to manage our clients, view client data, schedule jobs, and manage the resources we need to succeed. His work has opened up new opportunities for Clumsy Giant and has given us even more to offer our clients.

10 · FAQ

Fair questions.

It depends on the size of the request. Larger work gets broken into reviewable, shippable pieces so something useful lands regularly, and the weekly update always shows what’s finished, what’s active, and what’s next.
